What applies to golf and hiking also applies to fishing. In Normandy it is not heavily fished, not likely to see anyone else except water hens, ducks and friendly cows. There are kilometers of excellent waters where trout are particularly dominant while the many lakes (formerly gravel pits) are home to some very large carp.The river Huisne is a beautiful first category river with trout and grayling. The river is 5 minutes away from the house.

I don't want to give you any more information yet, because as you should know fishermen NEVER tell people about their good fishing spots!
